Heusden

Heusden is still a vesting (fortified) village. Surrounded by city walls and outside the water front. This is how the Dutch protected themselves during the war against the Spanish (1800).
It is a beautiful village, with very nice old houses, most things are still intact. The windmills and at each point the cannons are still there.
It also has a nice small harbour, ideal if you have a boat.
